Habitacionales (residentials)
Habitacionales is a project that explores the concept of home through the representation of intimate, inhabitable spaces accompanied by short fictions about destitution and abandonment and where the characters are found in liminal (ambiguous and uncertain) situations. Each space and narration comes in hand with a drawing which contrasts and corrupts the two latter.
Each space is presented as a simulacrum of domestic life. It is a sneak peak into ordinariness : a person relegated to oblivion, someone resigned to miserable conditions, a trauma, a break-up, death, the loss of sanity, the loss of faith, the realization of a devastating truth, etc.
This project is an attempt to portray home as a fickle and fleeting concept and daily life as a fool’s errand.
